I Am Sad:
Finding God in the Hardest Moments
A pastoral series for anyone walking through sadness, loneliness, or confusion — offering Scripture, honest reflection, and prayers for days when the heart feels heavy.
Hi there. Welcome. My name is Jason. Throughout my life, I have known deep sadness, grief, pain, and a longing I couldn’t put words to. Sadness touches every life, sometimes in quiet ways and sometimes with a force that knocks the wind out of our days. It shows up after a loss, in the middle of a transition, or during seasons when nothing feels quite right, and the heart grows tired from carrying what it cannot name.
Scripture is full of people who felt this ache — Hannah, David, Elijah, Mary — men and women who wondered where God was when their strength ran thin. The reflections gathered here were shaped for those tender stretches of the journey, offering a place to rest and breathe, a reminder that sorrow is not a sign of spiritual failure, and that God remains near even when comfort feels far away. If these words give language to what has been hard to speak, or simply let a weary soul feel less alone, then may they be part of the quiet work God is already doing in you.
This library of posts is an attempt to help.
