Morning Prayer for Protection
Introduction

Reflection
Psalm 121 is often called the traveler’s psalm. Pilgrims sang it as they climbed the hills toward Jerusalem, trusting that the Maker of heaven and earth watched each step. Their road was uncertain, but their song was sure: “The Lord will keep you.”
Our roads today wind through different landscapes—busy schedules, health concerns, financial pressures—but the same truth holds. God guards our going out and coming in. His protection is not a shield that keeps all trouble away; it is a promise that nothing will separate us from his care.
To pray for protection is to begin the day aware of grace. It’s a quiet declaration that God’s presence surrounds us—before we leave the house, before we speak a word, before the world has a chance to unsettle our peace.
