Prayer for the Day: Known and Loved – Psalm 139:1–3, 13–14
Introduction
To be known completely and still loved deeply is one of the greatest longings of the human heart. Psalm 139 begins, “O Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.” God’s knowledge of us is not distant or judgmental—it is tender, attentive, and personal.
This prayer is for those who need to be reminded that they are seen and loved just as they are. God knows every fear, every hope, every hidden thought, and calls us His own.

Reflection
Psalm 139 is both humbling and comforting. It tells us that there is nowhere we can go where God’s presence will not follow. His knowledge of us is not meant to expose, but to embrace. God’s love is not conditional on what we do but rooted in who we are—His creation, His beloved.
