Prayer for the Day: He Is Risen (Easter)
Introduction
Easter morning dawns with light that no darkness can overcome. The tomb is empty, the stone rolled away, and the words echo through history: “He is not here; he has been raised.” This is the day when life triumphs over death, hope over despair, and love over fear.
Easter is not only a story from the past—it is the truth that defines the present. The risen Christ still meets us where we are: in joy and doubt, in faith and struggle. His resurrection is the promise that nothing is beyond redemption.
This prayer is for all who long for renewal and rejoice in the victory of Christ. Because He lives, we live with hope.
Scripture
“He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
— Matthew 28:6 (NRSV)
Reflection
The message of Easter morning is simple but world-changing: Christ is alive. Death does not have the final word; love does. The women who came to the tomb were greeted not by despair but by divine surprise. Their fear turned to joy, their sorrow to praise.
Easter invites us to live as resurrection people—to see hope where others see endings, to speak peace where others speak fear. The risen Christ walks with us in every place of doubt, whispering again, “Do not be afraid.”
Wherever this day finds you, the promise remains the same: the Lord is risen indeed.
